Farris Evans, Sr. had a background in the insurance industry that began after his graduation from Vanderbilt Law School in 1949. After spending six years in training as an underwriter and field representative for the Home Insurance Company, he founded Farris Evans Insurance Agency, Inc. in 1955.
John Stanley Evans joined the agency in 1983 after a two year internship with Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company in Baltimore, Maryland. His primary focus has been in the area of sales and company relations.
In November of 2008 the ownership of the Agency changed when Farris Evans became an employee-owned company. A bold but forward looking step by the Evans family will ensure the future success of the agency and its partners.
